Tahoe Forest Health System Wins Silver Quality Award From California Awards For Performance Excellence (CAPE)

The Tahoe Forest Health System was awarded a Silver-Level Eureka Award for Performance Excellence by the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE). As one of only six winners in the state, Tahoe Forest had the honor of being compared to the best hospitals in California, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. This award brings us one step closer to our vision of becoming the best mountain community health system in the nation.

The PM2.5 levels (respirable particles less than 2.5 microns in size) are currently in the UNHEALTHY range on the Air Quality Index chart. Congratulations to our entire nursing staff! The American Nurses Credentialing Center notified Nursing Administration on May 12th of their decision to award Tahoe Forest Hospital District “Pathway to Excellence” designation. This award substantiates the professional satisfaction of our nurses and identifies Tahoe Forest as one of the best places to work and practice.

PROGRAMS FOR PATIENT EDUCATION, RECOVERY, AND REHABILITATION

Tahoe Forest Health System offers classes to aid in your current and post care recovery and rehabilitation. Special classes have been tailored to meet the needs of Cardiac, Pulmonary, Cancer, Diabetic and/or Seniors Patients. These programs are supervised by nurses, registered dieticians, and exercise physiologists, and are centered on an individualized, medically monitored exercise plan, nutrition, and lifestyle. These classes are appropriate for all fitness levels and patients in all stages of treatment or recovery.
