BIOFEEDBACK: INTEGRATIVE HEALTH CARE FOR MIND AND BODY

Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity to improve health and performance. Precise instruments measure physiological activity such as breathing, heart function, muscle activity and skin temperature.

These instruments rapidly and accurately “feed back” information to the user. The presentation of this information, often in conjunction with changes in thinking, emotions and behavior, supports desired physiological changes. Over time, these changes can endure without the continued use of an instrument. What you can see you can change.

Biofeedback can:
Relieve and ease chronic pain
Increase relaxation skills
Reduce stress and anxiety
Enhance sports performance

Biofeedback can help ease:
Anxiety
Migraine and tension headaches
Digestive disorders
High blood pressure
Fibromyalgia
Insomnia
Phobias
Asthma
TMJD
Reynaud’s Disease

Achieving these states of relaxation, mindfulness and coherence can help you move toward optimal health.
