Patient Information

For The Hearing Impaired

Tahoe Forest Hospital District utilizes an interpretive service to provide communication for hearing impaired individuals. A telecommunication device for the deaf (called a TDD line) is located in the hospital Emergency Department. The TDD phone number for the hearing impaired is provided through the California Relay Service. The voice number when calling from outside the hospital is (530) 582-1112.

Interpreters

Tahoe Forest Hospital District will take steps as necessary to ensure that qualified persons with disabilities (including those with sensory speaking skills) and limited English proficiency receive effective communication for patients and their families in order to assure understanding of necessary healthcare services. Spiritual Care

Tahoe Forest Hospital has access to several Chaplains, Pastors, Rabbis and Priests to serve you and your family. All denominations are represented. The hospital chapel is open to all patients and visitors. This place is for quiet and meditation and is located in the main building of the hospital.

Notary Public

Notary Publics are legally empowered to witness signatures and certify a documents validity as well as take depositions such as a living will. Notary Publics are authorized by the state of California.
