When Your Child Is The Patient
To have a hospitalized child can be stressful for parents and other caregivers. We will do our best to make you feel comfortable during your child's stay. We realize your support is an important part of your child's treatment, and encourage your participation.
You may bring your child's favorite toys and blanket, please note that marking toys with your child's name decreases the chance of loss. A refrigerator and microwave are available at the nurse's station. Nutritional fluids are provided for mothers if breast-feeding infants, and meals are provided for parents that are staying overnight with their child.
Parents with children under the age of 17 who request treatment or tests without parental attendance must make prior arrangements with us to authorize treatment and billing.
