Donate to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund
During this COVID-19 pandemic, our incredible healthcare workers and administrators are working tirelessly to meet the anticipated needs of our patients. Our Health System has now incurred unexpected expenses for added equipment, supplies, and clinical operations, all of which are desperately needed to treat this developing viral epidemic. The Tahoe Forest Health System is also experiencing a loss of revenue because elective office visits, surgery, laboratory, and diagnostic services have been limited as a precaution to protect the health of our community. If you have the means, we need your support.Â
Please consider helping those who help you by making a gift to the Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. This fund will support the purchase of additional patient ventilators, provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for staff, supplement our COVID-19 Drive-by Clinic, and help with emergency staffing needs. 100% of every dollar raised for this fund will go directly to COVID-19 related hospital operations!
Sew Masks for Hospital Staff
Over 300 homemade masks have already been distributed, but we need more! Each hospital staff member is required to wear one, and in some cases, we are providing two so they may be washed frequently.
If you are interested in sewing masks for distribution to hospital staff, please refer to these instructions and use the pattern listed on that page. The masks created with this pattern are easy for staff to wear and adjust. Please use straps as seen in the pattern design; do not use elastic that goes over the ears. Following these instructions will ensure staff can use the masks you sew!
Completed masks can be placed in a drop-off box at 10999 Spring Lane, Truckee. Supplies such as fabric, thread, and interfacing can also be found in boxes on the outside porch of 10999 Spring Lane.Â
Please contact Heather Elledge at email@example.com with questions about mask donations.
