Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among men and women in the United States, and it doesn’t have to be! Colorectal cancer is preventable and treatable when caught early through screening.

If you are between 45 and 75 years old, you should be screened for colorectal cancer regularly. Talk to your primary care provider about when to begin screening and which test is recommended. Several options exist, including a colonoscopy, during which precancerous growths can be removed.

For more information about colorectal cancer screening or to schedule an appointment with our Gastroenterology Clinic call (530) 587-7698.
