Letter from IVCH Foundation Leadership

Karli Epsein and jonathan

Greetings and Happy 2021 Incline Village Community,

I am so happy to be back from maternity leave and look forward to connecting with many of you in the year ahead. Thank you for all of the positive thoughts and well wishes while I was out. I am eager to share sweet Bennett with you all soon!

While 2020 was one of the most challenging years to date for hospitals (especially small rural hospitals), we are starting this New Year with so much gratitude. The Foundation is so thankful for the ongoing support of our entire community of donors. Generous gifts helped equip IVCH with advanced COVID-19 testing equipment and ensured that we could remain fully open and safe for all patients. Our front-line healthcare workers continue to amaze us every day as they keep rising to the challenge of caring for our entire community, including collaborating with Washoe County to administer COVID-19 vaccines.

As many of you know, the IVCH Foundation’s Donor Wall is located on the first floor of the Hospital. The Foundation is committed to updating the wall every two years and we a getting ready to make the next change. Over the next few weeks, we will be sending communication to confirm names and letting you know if you will be moving to the next donor level. This is always an exciting time for us, as we are able to honor those of you who help keep our Hospital thriving.

The Foundation Board and team is dedicated to continuing to work towards our mission of providing and expanding healthcare services to our local community. Philanthropic gifts have enabled our behavioral health program to expand so now Incline Health Center multi-specialty clinic includes both a Psychiatric PA and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (keep reading to learn more about Kristin O’Connor, LCSW).

Best Wishes and With Much Gratitude,
Karli Epstein, Executive Director IVCHF
