Join us for group fitness classes, all online! It's more than just exercise: get moving, get support, and stay connected!

When: Live classes are offered four days a week, from all of your favorite instructors.
Cost: $45 for monthly membership, $10 drop in, free week for new members!

ACL Post-Op Rehab Workshop

This workshop is for patients 4 months or more post-op ACL reconstruction surgery. It is led by Ashly Gillis, PT, and will provide:

  • Strength Training in Small Group Setting
  • Single Leg Strengthening
  • Return to Sport Training
  • Neuromuscular Re-Education
  • Affordable & Cost Effective

Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy

Feed your body and baby for optimal health! Learn how to meet all nutrition needs for you and your baby. Time is allowed for in-depth discussions on individual needs and concerns.

Parkinson's Support Group

A community support group in where members can share their experiences, knowledge, and coping strategies. Research has overwhelmingly supported the benefits of social support in the management of chronic disease.

Prepared Childbirth

This class will give you an overview of childbirth options in a fast-paced, intensive format. Our goal is to make you as prepared as possible to welcome your baby to the world!

Pilates Fundamentals Workshop

Learn how Pilates reformer exercises focus on engaging the body and mind together, while utilizing the Pilates Principles to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve balance and coordination

Cardio Bootcamp

Kick it up a notch! Join us for this 6-week results driven fitness and functional strength program. Bootcamp is designed to help you reach your goals in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

  • Pre- and post-fitness testing and biometric screening
  • Two weekly energizing Boot Camp classes led by a certified personal trainer
  • Accountability through nutrition and exercise tracking
  • Support from your coach and fellow Boot Campers

Yoga Basics

2 hour workshop for students who are interested in learning more about yoga! Students will learn:

  • Basic Yoga poses and how to execute them safely and comfortably for their body.
  • Attend group exercise yoga classes with a new familiarity for the names and poses frequently used.
  • Yoga in a safe, non-competitive environment with other beginners.

Mindfulness In Community

As we come out of quarantine and the pandemic and back into our work and socializing, it is a good time to redefine how we are a part of our community. In this 3-week mindfulness workshop series we will investigate your role in your community, explore how you're impacted by others, and gain greater appreciation for your relationships.

When: Tuesdays, September 7th - 21st | 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Diabetes Self-Management Program

An evidence-based program developed by Stanford School of Medicine. Participants in this program are better able to manage their symptoms and report improved health and quality of life. Join us for 6 weekly classes and learn:

  • Decision-making strategies
  • Becoming a self-manager
  • Understanding common symptoms
  • Using your mind to manage symptoms
  • Exercise tips for strength, flexibility, and endurance
  • Healthy eating at home and away
  • Managing your medications

Building Better Caregivers

An evidence-based program developed by Stanford School of Medicine. Join us for 6 weekly classes and learn:

  • Skills to support stress reduction for caregiver and the care partner
  • Self-care methods to improve caregiver's health
  • How to handle difficult emotions
  • Managing troublesome care partner behaviors
  • Planning for the future
  • Information about resources
  • Ways to improve communication skills

Cancer: Thriving and Surviving

This free workshop is designed for individuals diagnosed with cancer to help them develop the tools to live a healthy and full life. Techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain, isolation, poor sleep and living with uncertainty. Topics Include:

  • Decision Making
  • Communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals
  • Nutrition
  • Setting priorities

Baby Massage

For parents and infants, newborn to crawling, this hands-on workshop promotes bonding and communication, while improving baby’s circulation and digestion, easing tension, increasing relaxation, and reducing fussiness. Led by Linda Mackenzie, RN, Certified Infant Massage Instructor.

When: Saturday & Sunday, September 11th and 12th; Both days from 10:00am - 12:00pm

Introduction to Pilates Reformer

Have you always wanted to try Pilates Reformer Classes? Here is your chance to see if these classes are a good fit for you! This workshop will introduce you to the benefits of Pilates and how to use the Reformer. You will be taught beginner exercises and appropriate modifications while experiencing the flow and enjoyment of a group Pilates class. People fall in love with the Reformer, come and find out why!

Tahoe Forest Cooking Club

Get out of your cooking rut and come get INSPIRED at our monthly Health Supportive Cooking Club! Each month, our Registered Dietitian, Denice Hynd, will provide a fun and interactive cooking demo. You get to taste test and take home easy, healthy, and delicious recipes! Fall Back to Fun American Favorites - Your childhood favorite sloppy-joe will make an appearance as a simple-elevated-Joe. Learn how to deconstruct this classic combo and serve as an adult-approved lean entrée!

Prevent T2 - Diabetes Prevention Program

One out of three adults have prediabetes and 90% of them don’t know it.The Wellness Neighborhood is proud to offer Prevent T2, which has been shown to help at-risk adults cut their risk for developing type 2 diabetes by 58%. The prevent T2 lifestyle change program can help you lose weight, become more physically active, and reduce stress. With Prevent T2 you get:

  • A proven program to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes
  • A CDC-approved curriculum and trained lifestyle coach
  • A year-long program with weekly meetings for the first 6 months, then once or twice a month for the second 6 months
  • Support from others like you as you learn new skills
