Appreciative Living (AL) is a philosophy designed to create more joy in life by asking questions about and visualizing what is right, what is working and what we want most out of life. AL approaches life through the lens of positivity and is based on the following 5 principles:

  • Positive Actions & Outcomes stem from Positive Energy and Emotion
  • Positive Energy & Emotion stem from Positive Conversations and Interactions
  • Positive Conversations & Interactions stem from Positive Questions and Reflections
  • Positive Questions & Reflections stem from Positive Anticipation of the Future
  • Positive Anticipation of the Future stems from Positive Attention in the Present
