Tahoe Forest Heart to Heart- Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation
Have you experienced a heart attack or heart event? Heart to Heart is a medically monitored exercise and education program delivered by Cardiac Nurses and Exercise Physiologists. Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Group Exercise Classes

Add variety to your exercise routine with one of our targeted, state-of-the-art group exercise classes for individuals of all fitness levels. All classes have a specific focus to optimize your health and fitness, including restorative yoga and Pilates, senior fitness, all-levels yoga and Pilates mat, Dance Fit, and more. Group exercise classes are available with a monthly membership, a 10-pack, or purchased on a drop-in basis. Seniors receive a discounted monthly membership rate.

Silver Age Chair Yoga for Seniors

Yoga can be practiced by everyone, including seniors who have physical and cognitive limitations. Silver Age Yoga is mostly performed in a chair and helps increase flexibility and mobility and improve balance. Participants gently stretch all body parts such as the neck, hands and legs and perform breathing exercises. FREE classes are offered every Tuesdays and Fridays in the Truckee Senior Center Community Room. Please call (530) 550-7600 for class times.

Fitness Forever

This senior program has been inspiring men and women to fitness for over 13 years. Cardio endurance segment features low and non‐impact aerobic dance. Weightlifting segment uses small hand weights and resistance bands to sculpt and tone muscles while building endurance. Combined with balance, flexibility and functional fitness, this is a great class for seniors of all fitness levels! Fitness Forever classes occur Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00 am every week.

Education, Coaching and Self-Management Classes

Health Coaching

You set the goal, we help you reach it! The program includes an initial consultation with a wellness coach (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Exercise Physiologist or Yoga/Meditation Instructor) and 8 weeks of email or phone check-ins with your coach.

Take Control of your Health! - Self Management Programs for Chronic Disease (CDSMP), Diabetes (DSMP), and Chronic Pain (CPSMP)

Evidenced-based programs developed by Stanford School of Medicine. FREE six-week series for individuals with a chronic disease and/or their caregivers. Receive support and learn the information and skills to manage chronic conditions on a daily basis to improve health and quality of life.
