Welcome to Tahoe Forest Hospital
Visitors are an important part of any person's recovery. For their comfort, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- Limit Visitors. Please check with the nurses' station before entering patient's rooms. We ask that there are no more than two visitors at one time. In some situations, the patient's nurse may allow more visitors. Any additional family members or friends are asked to wait in a designated waiting area or in the Pine Street Cafe' on the first floor. Adults must accompany children under the age of 16 on hospital premises. If the person you are visiting is in a shared room please respect their privacy as well.
- If you are sick, please do not visit the hospital. If you show signs of illness, please don't visit the hospital. Phone calls are a great way to stay in touch with a patient if you are sick. Every patient has access to a phone.
- Please be quiet in the hospital. Even normal voices can bother people who aren't feeling well. Please speak quietly. If you need to use your cell phone and are not in a public area, please stand close to the wall and speak quietly. Turn your cellphone to silent or vibrate while visiting the hospital.
- Smoking is prohibited in our facility. To maintain a smoke-free environment, smoking is prohibited by patients and visitors in our facility.
- After 8:00pm visiting is limited. After 8:00pm you must have a visitor's pass. The receptionist at the emergency room desk will provide you with a pass once approval has been obtained. Visitors arriving after 7:00pm should enter through the Emergency Room and obtain a visitor's pass.
