Dr. Thomas Semrad Presents Important Research

Medical Oncologist and Hematologist, Thomas J Semrad, MD, MAS, FACP, of the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, recently presented his findings at the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Thyroid Association in Victoria, BC. Dr. Semrad is a nationally recognized researcher in cancer treatment and a principal investigator on multiple leading edge clinical trials.

Dr. Semrad and colleagues from UC Davis shared the important results of their study to further understanding and treatment of thyroid cancer. The title of their study is “Survival After Tracheolaryngeal Surgery for Anaplastic/Undifferentiated, Insular and Squamous Cell Thyroid Cancer.”

Over 1,200 thyroid clinicians, investigators and healthcare professionals from around the world attended the conference to hear the latest clinical and basic science research on thyroid disease. The American Thyroid Association is the leading organization focused on thyroid biology and the prevention and treatment of thyroid disorders through excellence and innovation in research, clinical care, education, and public health.
