TART Transit Services (Fixed Route, Dial a Ride, and TART Connect)
TART transit services are available within Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. There is a fixed route bus that runs on a fixed schedule, hourly from 6:30AM till 6:30PM. TART Connect is an on-demand microtransit service which allows people to book rides similar to ride-share services like Lyft and Uber, at no cost within the Town limits and regions in North Lake Tahoe. TART Dial a Ride provides free door to door service for ADA certified riders, and is open to the general public for a fare. Dial a Ride is a great option for medical appointments, as rides must be booked ahead of time and can be done so according to appointment times, whereas TART Connect wait times can fluctuate making it more difficult to use for time-sensitive appointments.
