Tahoe Forest Hospital, a UC Davis Center of Excellence, offers the most advanced technologies in direct anterior hip, as well as partial and total knee and shoulder replacement surgery. In fact, we're one of the only hospitals in the Tahoe region performing direct anterior approach hip replacement surgery. It's less invasive and allows for a faster recovery and rehabilitation time than posterior approach hip surgery. The majority of patients are discharged the day after surgery.

We use the most advanced surgical equipment and the latest techniques in multi-modal and regional pain control, allowing patients to get out of bed on the day of surgery, with many patients being discharged the day after surgery. We also offer a number of convenient on-site services for a comprehensive continuum of care, including our ambulatory surgery center in Truckee, digital X-ray, durable medical equipment (DME), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
