Overview
Getting an annual mammogram helps protect your health by lowering the risk of dying from breast cancer. Regular screening enables early detection, which can lead to less invasive treatments and allows the cancer to be treated before it spreads.
Goal
Increase the proportion of women ages 40-74 with household income <200% federal poverty level or who are Hispanic who get screened for breast cancer from 74.8% (<200% FPL) and 72.6% (Hispanic) to the Healthy People 2030 target of 80.3% by June 30, 2029.
Target Population
Women ages 40-74 who live in the primary service area of TFHS
