I’m Dr. David Lemak. I’m an emergency physician by training and currently am the medical director at Tahoe Forest Urgent Care system. One of the exciting projects that we’ve been involved with is beginning a weekend only walk-in clinic at Incline Village Medical Center. What we’ve recognized is that the facility had otherwise been empty on weekends and yet there was a big influx of folks visiting the area, plenty of folks that have more immediate healthcare needs that were not able to be met and didn’t need to go to the emergency department, so we’ve opened the clinic to considerable success.
