This free yoga and mindfulness 6 week class is based on the Love Your Brain program and will offer a safe space for people living with and navigating brain injury. The class will be structured with a brief welcome and meditation, followed by a 20-30 minute asana that can be performed seated or standing and a closing group discussion. The format of the class will remain fluid to adapt to the specific individual needs of the group. Attendance is open to those living with brain injury as well as their caregivers/family members.

Classes are held at Tahoe Yoga Wellness located at 10770 Donner Pass Rd # 104 in Truckee.

Michele Oelkers, MPT, OCS, is a physical therapist with 30 years of clinical experience, beginning her career in the neurological rehabilitation department at NYU Medical Center. She specializes in neurologic and orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2025, Michele completed Love Your Brain Yoga Teacher Training, integrating mindful movement and brain health into her clinical practice. She is deeply committed to building inclusive, community-based programs that support long-term healing, resilience, and connection.
Caroline Corasaniti, DPT, is a Physical Therapist with over 12 years of experience with specializing in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. She began her career on a traumatic brain injury floor in Denver and has since completed Love Your Brain Teacher Training (2018) and Yoga Teacher Training (2020) to incorporate mindfulness and yoga into her practice. Caroline is passionate about helping patients regain strength and return to activities they love. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her pup, partner, and friends.
Eileen Allen is a lifelong Tahoe local with an entrepreneurial spirit which has led her to own multiple businesses including Shag Hair Studio/Closet Cowgirl and Tahloha clothing company. Her love of the outdoors and the spiritual abundance of Tahoe have also led her to become a Master Paddleboard Yoga Fitness Trainer as well as a certified yoga instructor. Her own lived experience as a traumatic brain injury survivor led to her participation in and completion of Love Your Brain Yoga Teacher Training.
