Tyler Lapkin, L.Ac is a Licensed Acupuncturist and herbalist in the State of California and works in partnership with the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center.  His work at the Cancer Center helps cancer patients transition more smoothly through their chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Tyler graduated from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz  in 2009 where he earned his Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Trained in both Eastern and Western diagnostics and methodology, Tyler has a deep understanding of and treating disease. He has a strong interest in integrative medicine and believes that Eastern and Western approaches can coexist and complement each other in achieving positive results.

Tyler is board certified from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and joined Tahoe Forest Health System in 2012. He also has a private practice in Tahoe City. In his free time he enjoys surfing, cycling, skiing, photography, writing and playing the guitar.
