Elena is the palliative care nurse practitioner who specializes in managing symptoms related to treatment, pain control and goals of care discussions. She obtained her Master’s degree from University of California San Francisco school of Nursing with a specialty in Adult Gerontology Acute Care. She worked at Stanford in the Perioperative Clinic prior to joining the Palliative Care Team at the Tahoe Forest Gene Upshaw Cancer Center in June 2019. Elena is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
