Holiday Mocktail

Pomegranate Sparklers

A festive holiday beverage that is sweet and tangy, you won’t even miss the alcohol!


  • 1 medium orange
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (Pro tip: use a microplane to zest a frozen piece of peeled ginger root)
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice no sugar added
  • 4 cups sparkling water
  • ¼ cup pomegranate arils optional, garnish


1.      Using a veggie peeler, peel the zest of the orange. Don’t scrape too deep because the white part tends to be bitter. Reserve a few pieces of zest for a garnish and add the rest to a large pitcher.

2.      Juice the orange and add that juice to the pitcher with the zest. Add the grated ginger, pomegranate juice and sparkling water.

3.      When you are ready to serve, stir well and strain over a fine mesh strainer into cocktail glasses filled with ice. Garnish the mocktail with leftover orange zest and pomegranate arils.
