Dr. James M. Nachiondo, MD, joined Tahoe Forest Health System in March 2023. As a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist/hepatologist, Dr. Nachiondo provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, and is skilled in performing endoscopic procedures and colonoscopy exams.

Dr. Nachiondo attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Nachiondo is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Doc was very polite and we simply ordered tests. No idea if he had any ideas of my issue. Could be as simple as IBS which could be why he is holding back on his thoughts. I appreciate that.

He was thorough with his explanations, listened to me attentively, explained options, shared decision-making with me, and didn't seem to be hurried, although he didn't waste time. This is how I hope all doctor visits will be. I am very pleased.
