Dr. Kathleen O’Brien joined Tahoe Forest Health System in February 2025. She earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts and completed her residency in emergency medicine, followed by a fellowship in emergency ultrasound at the University of Arizona.

Dr. O’Brien also completed a fellowship in Global Health and Human Rights at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, while earning a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
