Recipe: Roasted Turnips

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds turnips peeled and cut into bite sized pieces (the larger the pieces, the more time they will take to cook)
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil (2 teaspoons to roast with and 2 teaspoons to toss in after roasting)
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground sage
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Toss turnips with olive oil, sage, salt & pepper.
  3. Roast 30-40 minutes or until tender.
  4. Remove from the oven, toss with 2 teaspoons of olive oil and season with additional salt and pepper to taste as needed.
