Not long ago, IVCH was awarded $1.8 million from the Helmsley Charitable Trust, an organization that, in part, supports Nevada-based Hospitals with the purchase of diagnostic and radiology equipment. With that, a new 128 slice CT scanner and fixed x-ray device are both going to be supported. These pieces of advanced equipment produce higher quality images, offer improved health assessments, and help direct our clinicians toward a more targeted course of treatment.
Recently, the team at Helmsley Charitable Trust provided an additional $87,000 to secure point of care ultrasound equipment, or POCUS, for the IVCH Emergency Department. Having access to this important technology in the Emergency Room allows for improvement in both the speed and the accuracy in diagnostic testing, minimizing the delay between the onset of symptoms and the start of treatment.
