As the summer winds down, I have been reflecting on the remarkable progress our organization continues to make in delivering high-quality care and advancing our strategic priorities.

I'm happy to share that Tahoe Forest Health System has once again been recognized as a winner of the Sierra Sun's 2025 Best of North Lake Tahoe & Truckee across multiple categories. This honor reflects the unwavering dedication and excellence of our entire team, whose commitment to compassionate care truly sets us apart. I am proud to serve alongside such an exceptional team. And thank you to our community for your enduring trust and support. It's a privilege to serve you.

I'm also proud to share that Tahoe Forest Health System has earned the prestigious Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence™ designation from the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program™ (NQMBC™), recognizing our exceptional commitment to the highest national standards in breast health care quality, performance, and accountability. Additionally, our emergency and inpatient teams were recently recognized for excellence in stroke care with the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Rural Recognition GOLD Award for 2025. Both are incredible accomplishments for our extraordinary team.

Construction and site improvements are underway at several locations, including the North Shore Clinic in Tahoe City, the Gateway Center on Donner Pass Road, and the Sierra Center (formerly Rite Aid). And we're in the process of upgrading key diagnostic equipment to maintain our high standards of speed and accuracy, during which a mobile CT unit will be set up in the Emergency Room parking lot through August. We are excited to welcome Allison Kellogg, MD to our OBGYN team!

Dr. Kellogg is a board-certified OBGYN with a strong background in hospital-based care and women's health leadership. She comes to us from San Antonio, Texas, where she served as a Hospitalist and Site Director with OB Hospitalist Group after completing her medical training at the University of Texas. Additionally, she has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" by San Antonio Woman Magazine.

Heart to Heart Exercise Classes

A safe, effective, and fun medically based exercise class for the community. This 60 minute class includes cardiovascular workouts on equipment and strength training, along with balance exercises and stretching. All ages and fitness levels welcome, and no referral or diagnosis needed.
