Dr. Alida Balkin joined Tahoe Forest Pediatrics in August 2019.
Dr. Balkin specializes in a broad spectrum of health services ranging from preventive health care to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases of children from birth to young adulthood.
Her passions include public and global health, with a special interest in lactation counseling and education for new parents. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, hiking and adventuring with her son and Bernese mountain dog. She is from Reno and after 15 years abroad, is excited to come back to the area to join the Truckee community.
Dr. Balkin graduated medical school from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and completed her training at University of Nebraska-Creighton Joint Pediatric Residency Program. She is board eligible in Pediatrics.
