Dr. Barta’s outside interests include mountain biking, running, hiking, backpacking, nordic, backcountry and downhill skiing, reading, and cooking. She came to Truckee/North Tahoe in 1990, with time away for medical training in 1992, and has made this area her home since 1999.
Dr. Barta received her medical education at the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed her residency at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She completed her fellowship in Family Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Barta is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
