Katrina Cassara, LMSW

Katrina Cassara joined Tahoe Forest Health System in 2025 as a Palliative Care Medical Social Worker. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles and her Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Katrina’s professional background is diverse, spanning work with unhoused pregnant youth, addiction treatment, and medical social work. She is passionate about supporting patients and their families through some of the most challenging times in their lives.

Katrina believes the best care considers the whole person and recognizes the importance of each patient’s unique needs, values, and circumstances. Her approach emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and team-based care to help patients feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.
