I had been looking forward to the appointment (which is ridiculous considering the nature of it) because of what I was going through and wanted to find someone who would "care" about my health going forward. And I felt like Dr Hunt just wanted to get me out of there and move on to the next person/get back to the calls he was getting from the hospital. I had other concerns I wanted to bring up and forgot because of how dismissed I felt. I barely made it to the car before crying because of how dismissed I felt and how he essentially told me what I experienced wasn't what it was because he saw something else. Well, I also made the appointment in June and had seen another doctor. If he had taken any interest in reading her notes, it would have affirmed what I was saying.

Dr. Hunt is a great surgeon but his bed side is not great. He barely looked at me or my belly. He just wanted me out of there. He was lovely on surgery day.

Dr. Hunt may be an amazing surgeon, but like the vast majority of inguinal hernia surgeons, he seemed very unfamiliar with the pros/cons of mesh repair vs non-mesh repair, and the considerations regarding that choice.
