Dr. Michael Jernick joined Tahoe Forest Health System in August 2021. He specializes in sports medicine, total joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder, and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the ankle, knee and shoulder.

Excellent doctor clearly knows his niche but also super clear explanation. Went through each of my X-ray slides with me. Showed his reasoning for his diagnosis and recommendations. Excellent care.

I was very happy to have had Dr. Jernick as my Dr. He was easy to talk to, concerned, experienced and knowledgeable about my injury. Listened to all my questions and answered clearly and completely. Very patient man and personable. Being a sports medicine Dr and surgeon was a real benefit to me. Explained the injury, viewed the Xray and discussed it with me In detail and provided clear explanation on why he chose the option for treatment and what the recovery would be. Put me at ease at all times. I knew I was in good hands with a true professional that was clearly concerned about me and my injury. Exactly what I needed as a patient.
