Dr. James M. Nachiondo, MD, joined Tahoe Forest Health System in March 2023. As a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist/hepatologist, Dr. Nachiondo provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, and is skilled in performing endoscopic procedures and colonoscopy exams.

Dr. Nachiondo attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Nachiondo is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr Nachiondo is an excellent provider. He is personable, thoughtful, thorough, and happy to explain. He is encouraging, asks if I understand, and is available to receive questions, concerns, and issues anytime, via MyChart. We are so fortunate to have him on site at IVCH. As I get older, I appreciate more and more having access to medical care locally rather than having to drive 45+ minutes for care.

Excellent doctor. The reason I moved to Tahoe clinic as I now am traveling from Reno for appts and procedures. Dr Nachiondo is an excellent doctor.

As I mentioned in my other comment. Dr Nachiondo is really wonderful. You know he cares, he takes plenty of time and does prep before hand to make sure the appts are efficient. He goes the extra mile to facilitate as much as possible for the patient. He has been one of the best Doctors I've engaged with at Tahoe Forest. He can also admit when he may not know all, and is willing to coordinate with others to ensure the best for the patient. Lots of respect for Dr Nachiondo

Doc was very polite and we simply ordered tests. No idea if he had any ideas of my issue. Could be as simple as IBS which could be why he is holding back on his thoughts. I appreciate that.
