Sonia Reichert, MD

Hi, I'm Dr. Sonia Reichert. I'm a Hematologist and Oncologist and I've been dedicated to caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders for nearly 20 years. It is truly a privilege to do this work and to be a part of my patients lives through such an important time.

I care for patients across the full spectrum of oncology and hematology from a new diagnosis to more advanced cancers as well as blood disorders. I also stay closely involved through treatment and into survivorship.

I see patients at all different points in their journey, whether they've just been newly diagnosed or looking for a second opinion or simply trying to understand their options moving forward. I trained in New York City at Mount Sinai and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and I've spent the last 16 years bringing that experience into a community setting.

What I love about being here at Tahoe Forest Hospital is that I'm able to offer advanced high quality care, including clinical trials, while keeping it close to home for my patients. My approach is very collaborative.

I really believe that the best care happens when we work together. I like to take the time to listen to understand what matters most to each person and to help guide decisions that align with their goals and values.
