Profile
Rachel has been working as a Physical Therapist at Tahoe Forest Hospital since 2013, and as the Clinical Manager of Inpatient Therapy and Outpatient Wound Care departments since 2015. She received her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University after earning her degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. She became Wound Care Certified in 2017 after caring for patients in the Outpatient Wound Clinic at Tahoe Forest Hospital, and maintains that certification today to ensure her patients get the most up-to-date and evidence-based care.
Rachel was born and raised in Truckee, returning home after her schooling to build on her roots in the mountains. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, 2 young kids, and furry family members, Luey and Penny. Rachel works in the outpatient wound clinic, caring for patients with chronic or difficult to heal wounds, as well as in the inpatient setting, focusing on wound care and general mobility training for patients who have been admitted to the hospital.
