Keynote Speakers

This forum features two extraordinary keynote speakers.

Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison

Jim Morrison is a The North Face-sponsored mountain athlete and National Geographic-featured mountaineer. Jim will share his remarkable journey of resilience, risk, and leadership, including becoming the first person to ski the Hornbein Couloir on Mount Everest, which will be the subject of an upcoming documentary project directed and produced by Jimmy Chin.

But Jim’s story is about more than just records and firsts. After the loss of his partner Hilaree in 2022, Jim once again turned to the peaks, finding solace in the act of conquering the world’s most exposed and dangerous terrains.

This distinguished lectureship in honor of Thomas Hobday is initiated in Tom’s vision to inspire our communities to come together and learn about cutting-edge medical research that will provide continued pathways for our hospital to be exemplary in all disciplines.
