Dr. Emily Bevan joined Tahoe Forest Health System in 2024. Dr. Bevan’s extensive background includes a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She earned her medical degree from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Arts in French with minors in chemistry and dance from the University of Washington. She is an experienced and board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to women’s health. Dr. Bevan loves exploring the outdoors with her family and enjoys skiing, biking and hiking.  She also plays the piano and loves to travel.

I thought my appointment was just a consult, and I would have to schedule another appointment for a procedure. The doctor gave me the option of doing the procedure then, or coming back another day. I was happy to have it done at that visit as I live an hour away.

I went to another facility closer to me to get my iud removed and it took 6+ months for them to get me 2 appointments where they were unsuccessful at removing my iud and were getting ready to schedule me for surgery 6 months out. I was scheduled here and Dr Bevan offered to try to remove it and she found it and removed it with ease and no pain in what seemed like no time at all. It took more time to raise and lower the table I was sitting on than it did for her to remove it
