Dr. Kevin Johansen joined the Primary Care team at Tahoe Forest Health System in February 2025. Dr. Johansen brings a wealth of experience in comprehensive patient care, with a strong background in primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, sports medicine, and complex medical care. 

Dr. Johansen earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. With extensive experience in outpatient procedures, lifestyle medicine, and dermatological care, Dr. Johansen is committed to providing personalized and compassionate healthcare to patients of all ages.

Dr. Johansen was a wonderful breath of fresh air! He spent some time with me and I didn't feel rushed. He also addressed a few health issues that I've been having and we talked about each one in detail.
