Tahmineh Tolentino, MS, ATC is a Board of Certification Certified Athletic Trainer with more than 15 years of experience providing comprehensive sports medicine care to athletes of all ages and competitive levels, from youth and high school athletes to collegiate and professional competitors. She has been a valued member of Tahoe Forest Health System for several years, where she is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and community outreach.
Before joining Tahoe Forest Health System, Tahmineh served in athletic training roles at Marin Health, the University of California, Santa Cruz, Fort Lewis College, and Colorado College. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, developed policies and procedures, supervised athletic training students, managed concussion programs, coordinated referrals, and provided comprehensive orthopedic evaluation, treatment, and return-to-play planning.
Tahmineh earned a Master of Science in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. She holds specialized training in manual therapy techniques, including Graston Technique®, myofascial decompression cupping, postural restoration, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.
Passionate about serving both athletes and the broader community, Tahmineh has volunteered with numerous organizations focused on adaptive sports, disaster relief, environmental stewardship, and community health. She is committed to promoting wellness, fostering strong relationships with patients and colleagues, and advancing the mission of Tahoe Forest Health System through compassionate, evidence-based care.
