Hello, I’m Vince McElligott, Executive Vice President with Thompson Associates. I’m working closely with the hospital to offer a unique planning opportunity for individuals connected to and friends of the hospital.
It’s called Periscope Path. It’s a step-by-step process to allow for a guided, confidential, and complimentary service to help individuals reflect on their personal legacy, aligning their legacy with their values and their goals. It begins with a discovery, a discovery to understand your story and plan your personal legacy. It is beginning with a conversation about values: what are the things and causes that are most important to you. It helps you build a personalized road map, navigating complex planning choices with greater clarity.
As an advisor, as an estate legacy advisor, I don’t draft documents for individuals, and I won’t take the place of your attorney, your financial advisor, or your CPA. But one of the things I will do is help you really think about what are a few of the things that are most important to you. Number one, do you have the resources you need for the remainder of your life? Number two, what would you like to do for your heirs? And I think that question sometimes has two parts: what’s the right amount you might leave your heirs, and then second, what’s the best way to do that? And if you have a philanthropic vision, how might you include that in your plan in an efficient way?
