Hello, I’m Dr. Thomas Semrad, a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist at the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center here in Truckee.
I care for patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders, helping guide them through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
My focus is on making complex care more understandable and supporting patients so that they can continue living their lives as fully as possible. I see adult patients at every stage.
So whether you have a new diagnosis, are exploring treatment options, or seeking a second opinion, you are welcome here. I’ve been in practice for over 15 years and have experience both in academic oncology as well as community cancer settings.
As medical director of our research program, I also help bring advanced treatments and clinical trials to our local cancer community. My approach is patient centered and collaborative.
