Hi, my name is Dylan Crosby. I’m the Vice President of Facilities and Construction Management and the Safety Officer for Tahoe Forest Health System. I get the pleasure to boast about our recent achievements through 2024, as well as our future projects coming up here shortly.
2024 was a great year for us, where we invested in key technology to improve our patient care environment. At Incline Village Community Hospital, we were able to replace our CT machine as well as X-ray services. In addition to that, we were also able to add mammography services. All of this was accomplished through generous charitable giving. At Tahoe Forest, we were also able to achieve a CT replacement as well as improvements in our operating rooms.
In addition, we’re in the permitting phase of multiple projects and kicking off construction this summer, with permitting concluding soon. Some of those projects include our North shore Clinic over on Fabian Drive in Tahoe City, really to expand our primary care services, allow organic growth in our urgent care, and really set the stage for future services.
In Truckee, we secured a long-term lease of the former Rite Aid Center, what we’ll now call Sierra Center, and are moving five key departments to that location. These include urgent care, retail pharmacy, occupational health, wellness, cardiac rehab, and outpatient lab. Most, if not all, of these service lines will have the opportunity to expand up to 30% to improve our access to care for our patients.
In addition, we’re also making key investments at our Gateway Center, primarily for primary care services. We will be able to move and expand, and this new location will have a total of 44 new exam rooms. This will allow primary care expansion, but also, in backfilling, allow additional expansions in key service lines such as OB and pediatrics, just to name a few.
This is an exciting opportunity for us to really expand our patient care, provide adequate access to the community, and revitalize some of the older spaces that we have. We’re excited to bring these clinics to fruition and start patient care in late calendar year 2026 and mid-calendar year 2027.
