Tahoe Forest Children's Center Celebrating 25 Years of Service to the Community
The Tahoe Forest Children’s Center recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a party for staff, parents, children and friends of the center. Attendees of all ages enjoyed a bounce house, music, arts and crafts, food and fun.
The Children’s Center has been providing caring, quality care to children in Truckee/ Tahoe for 25 years. It takes dedication and teamwork to provide exceptional care for over 100 children each day, and exceed the quality requirements for nationally known quality measurements, which the Children Center does.
“The child care team works daily to provide quality care for each child everyday,” says Director Rebekah Shurtleff. “They also understand how this resource allows TFHS parent-employees to be at their best while serving the patients of Tahoe Forest Health System.”
The Tahoe Forest Children’s Center the only center in Nevada County to have both their Infant/Toddler and Preschool rooms rated at 5 Stars by the Nevada County Child Care Coordinating Council through the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools. The center proudly displays its certificate of 5 Stars as a Quality Child Care Program and strives daily to exceed those standards.
