A Note from President & CEO, Harry Weis

Looking Forward to Winter
President & CEO, Harry Weis

We’ve been enjoying a beautiful fall here in the mountains, but as the seasons change, we are reminded that the best medicine is preventive medicine. At Tahoe Forest Health System, we are committed to keeping our community healthy - it’s the central focus of everything we do.

Winter is just around the corner, and with it, flu season. Flu vaccines are important to prevent illnesses and are essential for those with chronic health conditions. Find the link below to learn about upcoming flu shot clinics for yourself and your family.

October is Breast Health month, a perfect time to schedule your (or your loved one's) annual mammogram. 50% of breast cancer-related deaths could be prevented with an annual screening. To schedule a mammogram at our Briner Imaging Center, call (530) 582-6510.

At TFHS providing exceptional care is our top priority, and we strive to improve the patient experience at every step. We’ve recently introduced two new apps that will save you time – read on to learn more about RxLocal and On My Way from MyChart.

As we move into the season of Thanksgiving, I want to express deep gratitude for all our patients, employees, and neighbors. Our hospital was founded by philanthropy, and the generous support of our donors allows us to provide a variety of services. Learn more about how our Foundation greatly impacts the lives of our patients below, and save the date for #GivingTuesday on November 28th.

I wish you a happy and healthy holiday season, and I hope this e-newsletter serves to keep you informed of how we continue to enhance the wellbeing of our community.

With Warm Regards,

Harry Weis
