Thomas Hobday Medical Lectureship 2019
Thomas Hobday

Last year, the Thomas Hobday Medical Lectureship was established in honor of Tom Hobday who played an instrumental role in obtaining our valued affiliations with UC Davis, including our Cancer Center, the UC Davis Rural PRIME Program, and our designation as a UC Davis Rural Center of Excellence. He has provided leadership through his role as a member of the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation, the TFHD Leadership Council, the Cancer Advisory Council, the CAC Stewardship Committee, and as the founding President of Tahoe Institute for Rural Health Research. The Thomas Hobday Medical Lectureship aims to invite leading minds in academic medicine to present valuable information about health, wellness, research, primary care and medical issues to our community and stakeholders like you.

This year, donors, medical staff, and hospital administration gathered at Martis Camp on Wednesday, October 16th for the Thomas Hobday Medical Lectureship. The keynote speaker was Jamie Orlikoff, the president of Orlikoff & Associates, Inc, a consulting firm specializing in health care governance and leadership, strategy, quality, organizational development and risk management. Jamie discussed the future of health care in rural communities and addressed the role consumerism will play.

Donations to this lectureship will allow us to continue to offer stakeholders like you, opportunities to attend the Lectureship presented by professionals bringing you valuable information about your health. Make a donation to the Thomas Hobday Medical Lectureship.
