Bringing Mindfulness Into Everyday Life

As we come out of the pandemic and back into our daily routines and responsibilities, juggling all the to-dos while maintaining our health and happiness can be overwhelming. In this 3-week mindfulness workshop series we will explore basic mindfulness techniques to help calm and focus the mind, go into mindful movement practices to reduce stress and strengthen our body, and investigate how you can incorporate these tools into your daily life to live with more presence and improve your overall well-being.

Tuesdays, March 1st-15th | 6:00pm - 7:00pm | $60

 

Prevent T2-Diabetes Prevention Program

One out of three adults have prediabetes and 90% of them don’t know it. We are proud to offer Prevent T2, which has been shown to help at-risk adults cut their risk for developing type 2 diabetes by 58%. The prevent T2 lifestyle change program can help you lose weight, become more physically active, and reduce stress.

With Prevent T2 you get:

  • A proven program to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes
  • A CDC-approved curriculum and trained lifestyle coach
  • A year-long program with weekly meetings for the first 6 months, then once or twice a month for the second 6 months
  • Support from others like you as you learn new skills

Program starts March 3rd | 11:00am - 12:00pm | $450 or covered by medi-cal and medicare

 

Authentic Wellness

Athletic Training and Sports Nutrition for Performance with Nina Winans, MDSports Medicine; Certified Athletic Trainers- Macaylea Mitchell, MS, LAT, ATC and Jordan Myers, LAT, ATC, and Lisa Fligor, RD.

Learn about how Certified Athletic Trainers support our youth athletes and how to incorporate food and fluid recommendations based on the time of training.

Yoga for Resilient Recovery

How can a yoga practice help us to build the tools of resilience? How can we use these tools to help in recovery from illness or injury, creating a healthier relationship with the innate wisdom of our bodies? This workshop will explore simple and accessible practices to connect with our resilient nature and support a deeper capacity for healing. We will focus on breath and gentle movement, and there will be resources to take home to continue your practice. No prior yoga experience is necessary-all bodies are welcome!
