Baby Station at Truckee Thursdays

Tahoe Forest Hospital in Partnership with the Truckee Fire Department is proud to offer a baby changing and feeding station. Stop by for a cool and quite place to take care of your infant or toddler.

When: Every Truckee Thursday, June 13 - August 29 from 5:00-8:30pm

Reclaim Your New Mom Body with Postpartum Training

Learn about Diastasis Recti and whether or not you have it. Revitalize core strength and function with safe and effective exercises. Meet other new moms and bring your baby to class!

Baby Massage

For parents and infants newborn to crawling, this hands-on workshop promotes bonding and communication, while improving baby’s circulation and digestion, easing tension, increasing relaxation, and reducing fussiness.

Bringing Baby Home – Helping New Parents Transition into Parenthood

This workshop offers a chance to spend two days with your partner, away from the stress of everyday life, to intentionally work on skills to strengthen your relationship. The program is perfect for those who are: interested in having a baby, already parenting an infant or toddler (age 1-3 years), and those seeking to strengthen and maintain a healthy relationship.

When: Saturday, June 8 & 15 ; 9:00-3:00pm
Cost: $199 per couple, Childcare $30 per child per day

Infant & Child CPR

Be prepared for life threatening emergencies. This CPR class is appropriate for caregivers of infants and children. Grandparents, siblings, nannies, babysitters, and anyone else wanting to learn how to help save a life!

Cooking Demo - Fresh, Healthy & On the Go!

Join us for a cooking demo to learn healthy and quick ways to pack your picnic basket to fuel your summer adventures. We will prepare and sample recipes that highlight the fantastic seasonal produce of summer and also survive the trip in your picnic basket -- whether you are heading to the beach, the park, or the mountains!

Recipes Include:
Avocado Hummus, Gazpacho, Veggie Salad in a Jar, Lemon Garlic Chicken Skewers, Strawberry Cold-brew Tea and more!

Infant Nutrition: When & How to Introduce Solid Foods to Your Baby

Learn how to introduce solids to your baby in a way that allows him/her to be a part of family meals and intuitively choose what and how much to eat, using a Baby-Led style. Skip pureed "baby foods" and go straight to finger foods with the understanding that babies can feed themselves right from the start . Appropriate for parents of babies 3-8 months old and caregivers of infants. Babies are welcome!

A Mindful Morning Retreat 

This workshop is based on the principles of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Learn how to enhance qualities of self-compassion, stress resilience and awareness. Practice mindful meditation, eating, and movement. Open to all levels of experience and abilities. Please call to register.

2019 is the year to explore the power of you! In this FREE series of workshops you will learn a variety of topics from experts in their fields. Whether its stress, insomnia, nutrition, lack of energy, felling overwhelmed, or general habit change, we have you covered!

When: 2nd and 4th Thursday of the Month; 5:15-6:30 - Take care of yourself and then walk to Truckee Thursday!

Sessions take place every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 5:15 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. June topics include:

  • June 27 – Biofeedback and the Art and Science of Breathing, with Linda Mackenzie, RN
